Shopify Partner · Store Design & Build

Shopify website
design that sells.

Ecommerce website design for South African brands that want a store as good as the product. As a Shopify Partner, we design and build beautiful, high-converting stores with local payments, couriers, tracking and SEO in place before launch, not after.

Building and growing South African eCommerce brands

Recent work

Recent Shopify stores we've designed and built

From colourful streetwear and handmade boots to lifestyle catalogues and fine jewellery. Every store is designed around the brand and the way its customers shop, then built on Shopify.

Clothing & headwear

Liefde Wen

A colour-blocked, mobile-first store for a South African clothing brand built on the idea that love wins, with buy-now-pay-later at checkout.

Designed & built by BoostVisit store

Where we also run a brand's paid media, the figure comes from its case study, so you can see what the store does once traffic arrives.

What every build includes

Beautiful is the start. The store also has to work.

A good-looking store is the easy part. These are the pieces that decide whether a South African store takes payment, ships, shows up in Google and can be advertised from launch day.

Conversion-led design

Home, collection, product and cart templates designed around how your customers buy, using patterns our CRO team has tested on live South African stores.

Mobile first

Most of your shoppers are on a phone, so every template is designed for the small screen first and checked on real devices before it ships.

Local payments

Payfast, Yoco, Peach Payments or Ozow, with Payflex or PayJustNow for buy-now-pay-later. Configured, then tested with real transactions.

Shipping that adds up

Live courier rates through The Courier Guy, Bob Go or Pargo pickup points, plus free-shipping thresholds and clear delivery times.

SEO foundations

Clean URLs, unique titles and meta descriptions, product and breadcrumb structured data, and every old URL redirected when you change platform.

Tracking from day one

GA4, Meta Pixel with the Conversions API, Google Ads conversions and a Merchant Center feed, so paid media can start the day you launch.

Built for speed

Lean theme code, compressed images and only the apps you actually need, built to pass Core Web Vitals on mobile.

Apps & integrations

Email with Klaviyo or Omnisend, reviews, loyalty and subscriptions, plus stock and ERP sync where the business needs it.

Training & handover

A walkthrough of the theme editor and admin, so your team can add products, swap banners and run a sale without waiting on a developer.

How a build runs

From kickoff to first order

Five phases, one team, and a written scope at the start, so you know exactly what launches and when.

  1. Discovery

    Strategy & scope

We start with your range, margins, customers and the stores you compete with, then agree the sitemap, features, integrations and launch date in writing.

    Brand, range & customer workshop
    Competitor & conversion review
    Sitemap, features & integrations agreed
    Written scope and quote

    Expected outcomes

A plan everyone has signed off
A launch date in the diary
  2. Design

    UX & visual design

Every key template is designed for mobile and desktop with your real products in it, so you review the store your customers will see rather than a mood board.

Home, collection, product & cart layouts
Product pages built around buying questions
Type, colour & imagery from your brand
    Review rounds with your team

    Expected outcomes

    Approved designs for every template
    No surprises in the build
  3. Build

    Development & integrations

Your custom theme is built from the approved designs, then payments, shipping, apps and tracking are connected and configured for how you sell.

    Custom Shopify theme build
Payfast, Yoco, Peach or Ozow checkout
    Courier rates & shipping rules
GA4, Meta & Google Ads tracking
    Email, reviews & loyalty apps

    Expected outcomes

A working store on a preview link
    Every integration connected
  4. Content

    Products, migration & SEO

Products, collections and pages go in, data from your old store comes across, and every URL Google has indexed is mapped to its new address.

Product & collection setup or migration
    Customer & order history import
    301 redirect map
    Titles, meta & structured data
    Merchant Center product feed

    Expected outcomes

    Rankings carried across
    A catalogue ready to advertise
  5. Launch

    QA, go-live & handover

Every template, payment method and shipping zone is tested on real phones before the domain switches over. Then we watch the first orders come through and train your team.

    Device & browser testing
    Test orders on every gateway
Speed & Core Web Vitals check
    Domain switch & sitemap submission
    Team training & handover

    Expected outcomes

A store that takes money on day one
A team that can run it

Getting ready to scale paid media

Shopify website design: frequently asked questions

Costs, timelines, South African payment gateways, platform migrations and what happens after launch.

Our Shopify builds start at R30,000 once-off. Where a project lands above that depends on how many custom templates the design needs, the size of the catalogue and any data being migrated, and integrations such as ERP, POS or wholesale. You get a written scope and quote before any work starts. Running costs are separate and paid to the providers directly: your Shopify plan, any paid apps, and your payment gateway's transaction fees. Outside South Africa the same build starts at £3,000 in the UK and US$3,600 elsewhere.

Yes. Boost is a Shopify Partner. New stores are built on a Shopify development store and transferred to your own account at launch, and existing stores are worked on through Shopify's collaborator access, which you approve and can remove at any time. Either way, the store and everything in it is yours.

Shopify Payments isn't available to South African stores, so we connect a local gateway instead. Payfast, Yoco, Peach Payments and Ozow instant EFT are the usual choices, often alongside buy-now-pay-later options such as Payflex and PayJustNow. We pick the mix around your margins and your customers, then test real transactions end to end before launch.

Most builds go live in four to six weeks from kickoff. The biggest variable is content: product data, photography and copy. A store that arrives with those ready launches at the front of that range, and a large catalogue migration sits at the back of it.

Yes. We migrate products, collections, customers and, where the source platform allows it, order history. Every URL Google has indexed is mapped to its new address with a 301 redirect, titles and meta descriptions carry across, and we watch Search Console after launch for crawl errors so rankings and backlinks follow the store to its new home.

Shopify hosts the store, keeps checkout PCI compliant and handles security updates, so there's no server or plugin stack for you to maintain. Its app ecosystem covers loyalty, reviews, subscriptions and email, and your team can edit pages without a developer. WooCommerce still makes sense for some content-heavy sites, and we'll say so on the call if that's you.

Every store is custom. We design it around your brand, your range and how your customers buy, and our Shopify developers build it as a custom Online Store 2.0 theme, so your team can still edit every section, swap banners and add pages without a developer. No off-the-shelf template with your logo dropped in.

The foundations are. Clean collection and product URLs, unique titles and meta descriptions, structured data for products and breadcrumbs, image alt text, fast templates and a submitted sitemap are part of every build. Ranking for competitive terms takes ongoing work after launch, which is what our SEO and AI visibility service is for.

Yes. The store sits on your own Shopify account, and the theme, content, customer data, domain and every connected account belong to you. We work through Shopify's collaborator access, so you can remove us at any time.

We monitor the first orders, payments and tracking after go-live and fix anything that surfaces. From there, most clients hand the day-to-day store work to our website management team (from R7,500 a month), and many add paid media or CRO to grow the traffic and conversion rate the new store was built for.

Yes. Our Shopify experts work from Cape Town, and we build and run stores for brands across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban, as well as for brands selling into the UK, Europe and the US. Workshops and reviews happen on video calls, so where you're based doesn't change the process.
