The story

A South African food brand launched in 2024, named after the three fish on the family crest. Apple and saffron jam, hot honey, beetroot and sunflower dukkah, peppadew muhammara — handmade jars built around combinations most pantries have not tried.

Objectives

Get an unfamiliar range of flavours in front of people who buy on curiosity, and make the first order pay for itself.

Our approach

Nobody searches for peppadew muhammara. The demand has to be created, which puts the weight on creative and on reaching the right kind of cook — and both cost per click and cost per sale came down as that got sharper.

The results

Conversions and revenue both grew roughly fourfold against month one while the cost of each sale fell 43%.

  • Meta conversions up 367% and revenue up 356% against month one.
  • Cost per acquisition down 43% and cost per click down 44%.
  • Return on ad spend up 71%.

"Three months in, the account grows and gets cheaper at the same time."
