The story

A German clinical skincare brand founded in 1986 by Dr Erich Schulte, who noticed while treating burns and accident patients what collagen did for skin repair. The range is built on that: collagen-led formulations sold through spas and clinics, including the Burj Al Arab and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.

Objectives

Take a clinic-and-spa brand to direct online sale, in a category where the price point makes cheap traffic worthless.

Our approach

Premium skincare does not convert on reach. The work was in finding the buyers who already understood what they were looking at, and the numbers show it: revenue rose sixteenfold while spend moved barely at all.

The results

Revenue grew 1,551% against month one. Return on ad spend grew 1,488% over the same period — meaning almost none of that growth was bought with extra budget.

  • Meta revenue up 1,551% and conversions up 356% against month one.
  • Return on ad spend up 1,488%, so spend rose roughly 4% while revenue rose sixteenfold.
  • Cost per acquisition down 77% and cost per click down 43%.

"Sixteen times the revenue on effectively the same budget. That is what a working account looks like versus a busy one."
